Agave attenuata Kara's Stripes (also known as the Variegated Fox Tail Agave) is a variegated variety of Agave attenuata, which is native to Mexico. It has broad and soft yellow leaves with narrow green margins that form upward-facing rosettes. Some plants vary in coloration. Gardeners can plant Fox Tail Agave directly in the ground or a container. Pots and planters are easy to move around gardens with changing light conditions. When planting Agave in the ground, homeowners should choose an area that gets plenty of sunlight. Fox Tail Agave is a sturdy plant that tolerates both under and over-watering well. However, for optimal growth, Fox Tail Agave needs a thorough watering once a week during warm weather, particularly if it receives full sunlight.
