    Care Requirements:

    Light:

    • Bright, Indirect Sunlight: Echeveria love bright light. Indoors, a south-facing window is ideal.
    • Full Sun Outdoors: They can tolerate full sun outdoors, but be cautious of intense afternoon sun, which can cause sunburn.
    • Signs of Insufficient Light: If your Echeveria becomes "leggy" (stretches out), it's not getting enough light.

    Watering:

    • "Soak and Dry" Method: This is crucial. Water thoroughly until water drains from the pot, then let the soil dry out completely before watering again.
    • Overwatering is Deadly: Echeveria are susceptible to root rot, so err on the side of underwatering.
    • Watering Frequency: This varies depending on the season, temperature, and humidity. Water more frequently in the growing season (spring and summer) and less in the dormant season (fall and winter).

    Soil:

    • Well-Draining Soil: Use a cactus or succulent mix. This type of soil allows water to drain quickly, preventing root rot.
    • Good Drainage is Essential: Ensure your pot has drainage holes.

    Temperature:

    • Warm Temperatures: Echeveria prefer warm temperatures and are not frost-tolerant.
    • Avoid Cold Drafts: Keep them away from cold drafts.

    5. Potting:

    • Terracotta Pots: These are ideal, as they allow for good airflow and drainage.
    • Repotting: Repot only when necessary, such as when the plant outgrows its pot.

    Key Care Tips:

    • Avoid Water on Leaves: When watering, try to avoid getting water on the leaves, as this can lead to rot.
    • Fertilizing: Echeveria don't require much fertilizer. A diluted succulent fertilizer can be used sparingly during the growing season.
    • Pest Control: Watch for pests like mealybugs and aphids.

By following these guidelines, you can help your Echeveria thrive and maintain its beautiful appearance.
