Most Espostoa are covered in white hair giving them a soft, fuzzy appearance which is why they are commonly known as Old Man Cactus. They originate from the Andes and will form columns with age. Cacti will thrive if given plenty of light and free draining soil. Water well during summer, less in winter and allow soil to dry out between watering. A slow release fertiliser can be used sparingly during spring and summer.
