Pachypodiums grow in full sun in their natural habitat, however full sun is not necessary. I prefer morning sun in our sub tropical climate, and only water when dry in the dormant growth period. During the growth period they do like water as they keep it in reserve during the dry times. These plants rarely have any problems with mealy bugs or sap sucking insects. Great specimen plants in pots.
